Look Out Point

This is my second visit to Look Out Point in Ampang.

I will only post 1 picure as every picture looks the same. I added some colour to the light so it will not look so dull.

Sekinchan

Sekinchan is a small town located north of Selangor State. This place is famous for its rice paddy field and has a nickname - 鱼米之乡, literally means "the hometown of fish & rice".

I visited this place during Hari Raya holiday as I'm too bored. I have choosen a wrong season to go there as the rice crops are still not tall enough. Not very impressive though.

New Gears in the House VIII

It was a boring weekend. Due to Hari Raya, I am having 4 days of holidays but I did not plan anything ahead. So I ended up "rotting" at home. Since I have nothing to do, I pay a visit to Pudu Plaza again to buy some stuffs that I needed after I bought my camera & flashgun.

My to-buy list:

1) Phottix Tetra Wireless Transmitter PT-04 for my 580EX II
2) Phottix Remote Switch (cable shutter release) for my EOS 1000D body
3) Sto-Fen Omni-Bounce for 580EX II

But I ended up buying item #2 only as the other 2 items had ran out of stock.

This is a handy accessory that every photographer should have (unless you are a full time portraiture photographer that only take picture of people and nothing else). It is way better than self timer and it has a bulb function too.

One thing I like about Phottix is: despite being a 3rd party manufacturer of camera accessories, Phottix still managed to produce some decent quality products at much lower prices. For example, my Phottix Battery Grip.

Batu Caves

After the shooting, I went to visit Batu Caves (which is nearby). It has been years since I first step foot on this place when I was small.

Batu Caves is one of a most famous Hindu shrine outside India. It was primarily dedicated to Lord Muguran.

This place has changed quit a bit, most significantly is the Lord Muguran's statue outside the cave. I don't recall seeing it last time when I was small.

It's not hard to go up there actually. You can always stop and rest anyway.

Notice the paintwork? It was not there last time too. Last time we have to count the steps by ourselves.

I just wanna say the weather sucks to the max on that day.
